Guide & full description

Complete guide: Cheyenne Capillary Cartridge Needle MAGNUM (M1)

Cartridge with needles in magnum configuration (M1) from the Capillary range by Cheyenne, designed for shading and color filling on medium and large areas. The cartridge tip features a capillary reservoir that holds 10 times more ink than a conventional cartridge and distributes it evenly across all individual needles, even in large configurations. It is made of stainless steel, complies with the medical standard ISO 13485, undergoes 100% microscopic quality control, and is supplied sterile and single-use. Aimed at artists who want a consistent ink flow with fewer dips and fewer passes over the same area of skin.

How to use

Wash and disinfect your hands, put on examination gloves, and cover the machine, grip, and clip cord with disposable protective barriers.
Check the sterile packaging: use the cartridge only if the blister is intact and unopened. The colored cap on the bottom helps you quickly confirm the needle configuration.
Mount the cartridge into your machine's grip that accepts cartridge systems until it locks firmly.
Adjust the needle projection and start the machine at the parameters you normally use for magnum work, according to your machine manufacturer's recommendations.
Dip the tip into the ink capsule: the capillary reservoir absorbs ink and distributes it evenly across all needles, so you can work longer stretches between dips.
Execute shading or color filling in uniform passes without overworking the same area — the consistent ink distribution fills the surface in fewer passes with less trauma to the skin.
At the end of the session, remove the cartridge without touching the needles and immediately discard it into a sharps container.
Disinfect the machine, reusable grip, and work station according to your hygiene protocol.

Tips from us

Choose the configuration based on the work surface: for magnum, the number in the name indicates the needle count — for spread-out fills and backgrounds, a larger configuration covers more efficiently.
Use the colored caps as a station organization system: identify the configuration at a glance without reading each cartridge label during work.
The patented safety membrane (sealed according to European standard EN 17169) prevents blood and ink from entering the handle, but it does not replace protective barriers and grip disinfection — always use them together.
If switching from conventional cartridges, surfaces may fill in fewer passes due to the constant flow — adjust your pace to avoid overworking the skin.
The price is per piece, so estimate your cartridge needs for the project (plus a reserve) before the session.
Store cartridges in their original packaging in a clean, dry place, away from moisture, dust, and direct sunlight.

Warning: Sterile, single-use product: do not reuse or resterilize the cartridge under any circumstances, not even for the same client at a later session. Do not use cartridges with damaged, opened, or moistened packaging — sterility is no longer guaranteed. After use, immediately discard the cartridge into a dedicated sharps container following biohazard waste regulations. Always work with gloves and on a station covered with disposable protective barriers.

Frequently asked questions

What type of work is the MAGNUM (M1) configuration used for?▾

The M1 Magnum has needles arranged in two alternating rows and is the classic configuration for shading and color filling on medium and large areas. Thanks to the capillary system, the ink is distributed evenly across all individual needles, so surfaces fill consistently, reliably, and quickly — especially useful for dense fills and broad gradients. For contour lines, liner configurations are used, not magnums.

What machines are these cartridges compatible with?▾

Cheyenne cartridges are primarily designed for Cheyenne machines. Many rotary pen-style machines with a cartridge system may accept them, but compatibility depends on the grip and drive system of each manufacturer — check your machine's specifications or ask us before ordering, especially if you are using a system other than Cheyenne.

Can I reuse a cartridge if I only used it for a few minutes?▾

No. The cartridge is a sterile single-use product: once removed from the packaging and used, it comes into contact with skin, ink, and client fluids and must be discarded into a sharps container. Resterilization in the studio is not a safe option for this type of product, and reusing it poses a risk of cross-contamination.

What is the difference between Capillary and a classic membrane cartridge?▾

At the tip of the Capillary cartridge there is a capillary reservoir that holds 10 times more ink than a conventional cartridge and distributes it evenly across all needles — an advantage especially noticeable in large configurations like magnums. You refill less often, areas fill more consistently, and the skin endures fewer passes. The patented safety membrane is also present: it prevents blood and ink from entering the handle, sealed according to standard EN 17169.

How do I choose the right magnum size?▾

The number in the configuration name indicates how many needles the cartridge contains. The practical rule: for small areas and fine transitions, choose smaller configurations; for fills and broad backgrounds, larger configurations cover more quickly with fewer passes. The colored cap on the cartridge helps you identify the configuration during work. If you are a beginner, get a few different sizes and test them on synthetic skin first.

Is the displayed price for a box or for a single cartridge?▾

The price is per piece. You can order exactly as many cartridges as you need — convenient if you want to try the Capillary range on your preferred configuration before buying a larger stock for the studio.

Product description

Cartridge needles Cheyenne Capillary needles are revolutionary because they retain 10 times more cough than those conventional cartridges. They have an improved needle guidance that allows much greater precision. Inside the tip of the cartridges there is a capillary with a reservoir, therefore these cartridges absorb more cough. Cheyenne Capillary needles ensure uniform distribution of the cough on all individual needles, even in large needle configurations such as the magnum ones. As a result, the work surfaces are filled constantly, reliably and above all quickly, which means less trauma for the client's skin. The needles are 100% passed through microscopic quality control. In the lower part of the needle, they have colored caps, for easier identification of the needle configuration. The needles have a patented safety membrane that prevents blood and cough from entering the handle. The sealing of the membrane complies with the requirements of the European standard EN 17169Cheyenne Capillary are needles manufactured according to medical standards (ISO 13485)Material: Stainless steel Single-use product, sterile packaged The price is per piece Cheyenne Capillary MAGNUM (M1) cartridge needles combine Cheyenne's revolutionary capillary technology with the magnum configuration for the highest level of shading and color packing. The capillary feeding system ensures constant and predictable ink flow throughout the entire session, completely eliminating the ink starvation or flooding issues that affect conventional membranes. The M1 configuration arranges needles in two staggered rows for maximum coverage area, and the combination with capillary flow creates an unprecedented color packing experience — ink enters the skin uniformly, pass after pass, without unwanted lighter or darker areas. Manufactured in Germany from premium surgical steel, each needle is polished at microscope level for optimal sharpness and minimal trauma. Gamma sterilization — medical gold standard, no chemical residues. Compatible with all Cheyenne machines and most universal pen-style machines. Compared to Kwadron M1 Premium, Cheyenne Capillary M1 offers superior flow but at a higher price. Against Big Wasp X M1, the performance difference is substantial — Capillary is in a different league of consistency. Against Cheyenne Safety M1, Capillary brings the capillary flow that makes the difference in long 6+ hour sessions. Available from 7M1 through 15M1. Box of 20 cartridges. The choice of professionals for color realism, Japanese sleeves, and any work demanding perfect coverage on large surfaces. Frequently Asked Questions
