Guide & full description

Complete guide: Cheyenne O-Ring Set 1 - for all angled machines

This set contains 5 O-rings (rubber gaskets) with a diameter of 13 mm, original Cheyenne parts, exclusively for Cheyenne Hawk Thunder and Cheyenne Spirit rotary machines. These two models have a different internal mechanism compared to the Cheyenne Pen, which is why they require O-rings with specific dimensions — this set is designed specifically for them. It is useful for any artist using Thunder or Spirit who wants to have original spare parts on hand for routine maintenance.

How to use

Disconnect the machine from the power source before any intervention.
Remove the machine's grip to access the internal mechanism.
Locate the existing O-rings in the damping area.
Carefully remove the old, worn O-rings.
Install the new O-rings from the set, making sure they are seated correctly in their groove without twisting.
Reassemble the grip onto the machine.
Test the machine before an actual work session — listen to the motor noise and check if the stroke is uniform.
Note down the date of replacement as a reference for the next maintenance intervention.

Tips from us

Check the O-rings periodically: if they are flattened, cracked, sticky or deformed, it is time to replace them.
Use only sets compatible with your model — Pen O-rings are not interchangeable with those for Thunder/Spirit.
During installation, use a silicone-based lubricant recommended for tattoo equipment, if the machine requires it.
Store the unused O-rings from the set in a clean, dust-free place for future replacements.
The 5 pieces in the set cover multiple maintenance interventions — you do not need to install them all at once.

Warning: Always disconnect the machine from the power source before removing the grip or working on the internal mechanism. Work on a clean, disinfected surface, especially if the machine has previously been used on skin, to avoid contaminating internal components.

Frequently asked questions

Does this set work with both Cheyenne Thunder and Cheyenne Spirit?▾

Yes. Thunder and Spirit share a similar internal damping mechanism design, so a single set of O-rings covers both models. However, it is recommended to verify the exact generation of your machine before ordering.

Can I also use these O-rings on a Cheyenne Pen?▾

No. Cheyenne Pen has a more compact mechanism with different O-ring sizes compared to Thunder/Spirit. Installing incorrect O-rings leads to malfunction, so it is important to order the set specific to your model.

How do I know when I need to replace the O-rings?▾

Typical signs of wear are stronger vibrations felt in the hand, increased or changed tonal operating noise, and a less smooth or inconsistent stroke. On visual inspection, after removing the grip, worn O-rings appear flattened, cracked, or sticky.

Can I replace the O-rings myself, or is service required?▾

It is a basic maintenance operation that you can do yourself without special tools: disconnect from power, remove grip, take out old O-rings, install new ones, reassemble. If you have doubts, an authorized dealer can guide you.

How many O-rings does the set contain and what is their diameter?▾

The set contains 5 O-rings with a diameter of 13 mm, enough for multiple maintenance interventions during use.

What lubricant should I use during installation?▾

A silicone-based lubricant suitable for tattoo equipment is recommended. For exact recommendations, consult your Cheyenne machine's documentation or an authorized dealer.

Product description

O-Ring Set 1 contains 5 o-rings for all angled machines by Cheyenne. Includes 5 o-rings with 13 mm diameter. The O-ring set for Cheyenne Thunder and Spirit contains 5 precision rubber rings specifically designed for the Cheyenne Hawk Thunder and Cheyenne Spirit machines. These machine models have a different internal mechanism than the Cheyenne Pen, requiring O-rings with specific dimensions and Shore hardness. Thunder and Spirit are powerful rotary motor machines, used intensively for long sessions of lining, shading, and color work, which subjects the O-rings to considerable mechanical stress. Regular replacement is critical for maintaining performance — a worn O-ring on Thunder or Spirit manifests as excessive vibrations transmitted to the hand, increased motor noise, and stroke inconsistency affecting line and shading quality. This original Cheyenne set guarantees perfect fit and correct mechanical properties: optimal elasticity for vibration dampening without inhibiting piston movement, resistance to lubricants and operating temperatures, and sufficient durability for long usage cycles. The rubber material is identical in specification to that used in factory assembly, ensuring original machine performance after replacement. The 5 O-rings in the set cover multiple replacement cycles, providing sufficient spare parts stock for several months of intensive professional use. Preventive maintenance with original parts is the most efficient investment in extending Cheyenne equipment lifespan. Frequently Asked Questions
