Guide & full description
Complete guide: Connection cable: 3.5 mm jack plug to 3.5 mm jack socket (straight)
This is the connecting cable (clipcord) between Cheyenne tattoo machines and the Cheyenne power supply. It has a 3.5 mm jack plug and a length of 2.5 meters, giving you freedom of movement and allowing you to place the power supply at a comfortable distance from the work area. It is intended for artists working in the Cheyenne ecosystem (Hawk, Sol, Pen) who need an original cable dedicated to these machines.
How to use
- First check compatibility: the cable has a3.5 mm jack plug and is designed for Cheyenne HAWK Thunder/HAWK Spirit, SOL Terra/SOL Luna, Hawk Pen, HAWK Pen Unio and Sol Nova Unlimited Wireless machines, connected to a Cheyenne power supply.
- With the power supply off, connect one end of the cable to the jack plug of the tattoo machine.
- Connect the other end to the corresponding output on the Cheyenne power supply, pushing firmly until it is fully engaged.
- Arrange the cable path so it is not stretched to the maximum and does not get caught under equipment; use the2.5 meters to position the power supply on a table or shelf without restricting your hand movement.
- Turn on the power supply and check the machine's operation before actually starting work.
- If you work with protective barriers, you can cover the cable with a disposable sleeve/sheath to limit contamination during the session.
- At the end, turn off the power supply, then disconnect by gripping the plug (never pulling the cable).
- Wipe the cable and store it loosely coiled, without tight knots.
Tips from us
- Always disconnect by gripping the connector, not the cable — this protects the plugs and internal conductor.
- Store the cable loosely coiled, without excessive tightening or sharp bends at the ends; repeated bending at the connectors is the most common cause of wear.
- Position the power supply so that the cable hangs relaxed, not stretched like a string — reduces mechanical stress on the plugs.
- Keep a spare cable in the studio: a defective clipcord can mimic symptoms of a 'broken' machine (machine starts hard, stops, runs intermittently).
- Keep the cable away from heat sources and direct contact with solvents or aggressive substances.
Frequently asked questions
Which machines is this cable compatible with?▾
It is designed for Cheyenne machines with a3.5 mm jack plug: HAWK Thunder/HAWK Spirit, SOL Terra/SOL Luna, HAwk Pen, HAWK Pen Unio and Sol Nova Unlimited Wireles, connected to a Cheyenne power supply. Being a cable dedicated to the Cheyenne ecosystem, it is not a universal lipcord.
Does it have an RCA connector, like a regular clipcord?▾
No. This cable uses a3.5 mm jack plug, specific to Cheyenne machines for which it is designed. It is not a standard RCA clipcord, so do not confuse it with RCA cables used on other systems.
What length is the cable?▾
It is2.5 meters, a generous length that allows you to place the power supply at a distance (on a table or shelf) without limiting your hand movement during work.
Does it work with any Cheyenne power supply?▾
It is intended for connection to Cheyenne power supplies. Since Cheyenne has used different connectors over generations of power supplies, if you have an older or newer model of power supply, we recommend that you confirm the connector type with the tatuat.ro team before ordering.
How do I clean and maintain it?▾
Wipe it after each session with a cloth moistened in disinfectant, to remove traces of ink or work products, avoiding the plugs. Do not submerge it in liquid. Store it loosely coiled, without sharp bends at the connectors, to extend its lifespan.
Is it consumable or long-term use?▾
It is a durabil, reusable acceory, not a consumable. With corect handling (disconnecting from the plug, storing without tight knots) it can last a long time; you replace it only when signs of wear or intermittent contact appear.
What warranty does it have?▾
The cable is covered by a warranty. For the exact term applicable to your order, check the details on the product page or ask the tatuat.ro team before purchased.
