Guide & full description

Complete guide: Lip Pierce 100031

This is a twisted (spiral) barbell body jewelry piece with a gold finish achieved through PVD plating over 316L surgical steel and simple spherical ends, without crystals. The spiral shape gives a three-dimensional visual effect, and the minimalist look is suitable both for everyday wear and for more elegant occasions. The piece is designed for the lip area and is sold individually, per piece, making it suitable for both clients and studios looking for clean models.

How to use

Make sure the piercing is fully healed before changing the jewelry; for a fresh channel, leave the fitting to a professional piercer.
Wash your hands thoroughly and sanitize the new jewelry (saline solution or mild soap and water, then rinse) before inserting it.
Unscrew one of the threaded balls from the end of the barbell.
Carefully insert the twisted barbell through the channel, following the natural curvature of the tissue — never force it.
Re-screw the ball in place and make sure it is securely fastened without pinching the skin.
Periodically check the ball threading, as they can loosen over time and small pieces may get lost.

Tips from us

Check the gauge and your channel size before ordering to ensure the piece fits; if in doubt, ask your piercer or the tatuat.ro team.
The threaded balls are interchangeable — you can replace them with other compatible balls (with crystals, spikes, etc.) to change the look without changing the barbell.
To maintain the gold shine, avoid repeated contact with cosmetics, perfumes, and abrasive solutions.
After swimming in a pool or the sea, rinse the jewelry with fresh water; chlorine and salt can wear down the finish over time.
Keep a few spare balls on hand — they are small and easily lost when unscrewing.

Warning: Do not mount the jewelry on a fresh or unhealed piercing and never force the barbell through the channel — you risk irritation or injury. Always sanitize the piece and your hands before handling. Gold PVD plating is durable but not invulnerable: abrasive solutions, chemical substances, and friction shorten its lifespan. If redness, pain, or persistent discharge occurs, eliminate contact with irritants and seek specialist advice.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if it fits me?▾

It depends on the gauge and size of your piercing. According to the listed specifications, this piece has a 12G gauge, 8 mm circumference, and a 3 mm ball. Measure the jewelry you are currently wearing or ask your piercer and compare the values; if you have any sizing doubts, write to us before ordering.

What material is it made of?▾

316L surgical steel with gold PVD plating. 316L is a material commonly used for body jewelry, and the PVD layer adds the gold finish and a protective barrier over the base metal.

How do I maintain it to keep its gold color?▾

Clean it with saline solution or mild soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Avoid abrasive solutions, strong alcohol, and harsh scrubbing. The PVD plating is durable, but the longevity of the color depends on how gently you treat it.

Is the twisted barbell comfortable to wear?▾

The spiral shape follows the natural curvature of the tissue. There may be a short adjustment period initially; if you feel persistent discomfort, check if the size is appropriate for your channel.

Is it sold individually or as a set?▾

It is sold individually, one piece, so you can get exactly the item you want without buying a set.

Can I wear it at the pool?▾

Yes, but rinse it with fresh water afterward. Chlorine can accelerate finish wear over time; base 316L steel resists water, but the gold plating holds up better if you protect it.

Product description

Lip Pierce Needle size: 12GCircumference: 8mm Ball diameter: 3mm The Pierce Buza 100031 is a spiral barbell (twisted barbell) piercing with gold finish and simple spherical ends, made from 316L surgical stainless steel with gold PVD plating. The twisted spiral-shaped bar creates a unique three-dimensional visual effect, distinguishing itself from straight labrets or circular barbells through its dynamic form. The terminal balls are spherical, smooth, without crystals or additional ornaments, offering a clean and minimalist look based on the premium gold finish. PVD gold plating ensures a hard and resistant layer that does not peel and maintains golden shine long-term — superior to traditional electrolytic plating. Standard gauge is 16G (1.2mm), compatible with lip piercings (labret, Monroe, Medusa), ear (helix, tragus, conch, daith), and nose (septum). The spiral naturally follows tissue curvature, offering comfort in wear after a short accommodation period. The minimalist gold finish makes it suitable for both casual occasions and more elegant contexts. The base 316L surgical steel guarantees biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, while the PVD layer adds an additional level of protection against allergic reactions through the barrier between metal and skin.
