Guide & full description

Complete guide: Tongue Pierce 100006

This is a barbell jewelry for tongue piercings: a straight barbell with a ball screwed onto each end, made from stainless steel. It is worn in an already healed tongue piercing and is intended for those who want to replace their existing jewelry or have a spare. According to product specifications, the needle size is 12G, the barbell length is 16 mm, and the ball diameter is 6 mm.

How to use

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before touching the jewelry or piercing.
Clean and disinfect the jewelry before first insertion (sterile saline solution or as recommended by your piercer).
Unscrew one of the two balls from the ends of the barbell — the balls screw onto the barbell.
Carefully insert the barbell through the healed piercing channel without forcing.
Screw the ball back on and check that it is tightened well so it does not come undone while speaking or eating.
Rinse your mouth with water or saline solution after insertion.
Periodically check, in the following days, that both balls remain tightly secured.

Tips from us

Check regularly that the balls are tight — oral jewelry can loosen, and a loose ball can be lost or accidentally swallowed.
Keep a spare piece of jewelry of the same size on hand in case you lose a ball.
Clean the jewelry regularly and rinse your mouth with saline solution, especially after meals.
If you just want to change the look, the balls can be replaced with others of the same gauge and compatible threading.
Before ordering, measure or check the gauge and length of your current jewelry to ensure it fits.

Warning: Do not use this jewelry as a first jewelry for a fresh piercing — new piercings swell and require a longer barbell, fitted by a professional piercer; the product is intended for fully healed piercings. Maintain rigorous oral hygiene, rinse with saline solution, and avoid harsh chemicals on the jewelry. If you have a confirmed nickel allergy, discuss alternatives such as implant-grade titanium or niobium with your piercer. At any sign of infection (persistent pain, redness, swelling that does not subside, discharge), consult a specialist.

Frequently asked questions

What size is this jewelry?▾

According to product specifications: needle size 12G, barbell length 16 mm, and ball diameter 6 mm. We recommend checking the gauge and length of your current jewelry before ordering to ensure it fits your piercing.

Is it suitable for a freshly done tongue piercing?▾

No. It is not recommended as a first jewelry after getting pierced. Fresh piercings swell and require a longer barbell, fitted by a professional piercer. This product is intended for fully healed piercings.

What material is it made of?▾

Made from stainless steel, according to specifications. This is a common material for body jewelry, resistant to corrosion. If you have a confirmed severe nickel allergy, it is safer to choose implant-grade titanium or niobium.

How do I clean and maintain it?▾

Clean it with sterile saline solution or warm water and a mild antibacterial soap, then rinse thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals. Also maintain oral hygiene and rinse your mouth after meals while wearing it.

Can the balls on the ends be changed?▾

Yes, the threaded balls can be replaced with others, provided they are the same gauge and have compatible threading. This allows you to customize the look while keeping the same barbell.

Can I wear it at night and while swimming?▾

Yes, stainless steel is water-resistant, and the jewelry can be worn during sleep. Do not remove it frequently, as the piercing channel may close. After swimming in a pool or the sea, rinse with fresh water.

Product description

Tongue Pierce Needle size: 12 GRod size: 16mm Ball diameter: 6mm Material: stainless steel The Pierce Limba 100006 is a tongue barbell made from 316L surgical stainless steel with standard 14G gauge (1.6mm), with decorative bile acrilice pattern balls. The straight bar with approximately 16-19mm length is specifically sized for tongue thickness, ensuring sufficient space for initial post-piercing swelling but without being excessively long for long-term wear. Terminal balls are internally threaded for easy assembly and disassembly. 316L surgical stainless steel is the standard material for oral piercings due to its corrosion resistance in the moist and acidic oral cavity environment, demonstrated biocompatibility, and high durability. Tongue piercing has a relatively short healing period (4-6 weeks) compared to other body piercings, but requires increased attention in the first days — soft diet, avoiding spicy and hot foods, rinsing with water or saline solution after each meal. The barbell with balls at both ends prevents accidental sliding through the piercing channel and provides stability during speaking and chewing. Frequently Asked Questions
