Guide & full description

Complete guide: Universal Pierce 100041

Pierce Universal 100041 is a piercing jewelry piece from the 'Universal' collection, made of stainless steel, with a needle thickness of 14 G and 2.5 mm balls. It is a reusable piece, designed to be worn after insertion by a professional piercer, suitable for those who are completing or changing their jewelry from an existing piercing.

How to use

Check the thickness (gauge): this piece is 14 G (approximately 1.6 mm). It must match the thickness of your piercing — do not force a different gauge jewelry into an existing channel.
Compare the dimensions with the intended location. The product data indicates a circumference of 6.13 mm and balls of 2.5 mm; confirm with your piercer that these measurements fit your anatomy and piercing type.
Before insertion, the jewelry must be sterilized. For a fresh piercing, autoclave sterilization is done in the studio by the piercer — not at home.
Let the piercer insert the piece, especially if the piercing is not fully healed. Proper handling reduces the risk of irritation and damage to the channel.
Tighten the threaded balls completely after insertion, so they do not come undone during wear.
During the healing period, clean the area periodically with saline solution and avoid touching the jewelry with unwashed hands.
Check the threaded parts (balls) from time to time and tighten them if they have loosened, so you don't lose a component.

Tips from us

Match the gauge, not just the look: a 14 G jewelry only fits into a 14 G piercing. If you're unsure of your thickness, ask your piercer to measure it with a caliper.
For a new or healing piercing, insist on insertion by a piercer and autoclave sterilization — alcohol disinfection at home does not replace sterilization.
Remember the ball diameter (2.5 mm) in case you need to replace a ball: buy an end of the same gauge and diameter.
If you have a known nickel sensitivity, discuss the material with your piercer before long-term wear — for reactive skin, many piercers recommend implant-grade titanium as an alternative.
Clean the jewelry only with saline solution during the healing phase; avoid peroxide and alcohol directly on the fresh piercing, as they can dry out and irritate the tissue.

Warning: The jewelry must be sterilized in an autoclave by a professional piercer before insertion into a fresh piercing — sterilization cannot be done correctly at home, and alcohol disinfection does not replace it. The indicated material is stainless steel, which may contain traces of nickel; if you have a severe nickel allergy, check tolerance with your piercer before prolonged wear. Do not insert or change the jewelry with unwashed hands and stop if severe pain, persistent redness, or unusual discharge occurs — consult your piercer.

Frequently asked questions

What thickness (gauge) does it have and what piercing is it suitable for?▾

It has a needle thickness of 14 G, i.e., approximately 1.6 mm. It fits into piercings done at 14 G. If your piercing was done at a different gauge, this piece will not be compatible — the safest is to ask your piercer to measure your channel thickness before ordering.

What material is it made of and is it hypoallergenic?▾

The product specification indicates stainless steel. Stainless steel is well tolerated by most people, but it may contain traces of nickel, which can bother those with a severe nickel allergy. If you know you are sensitive, discuss with your piercer; for very reactive skin, implant-grade titanium is the usual alternative.

How is it sterilized and cleaned?▾

Sterilization for a fresh piercing is done in an autoclave, in the studio, by the piercer — not at home. After insertion and during healing, maintenance is simple: periodic cleaning with saline solution and occasional checking of the threaded balls. Alcohol and peroxide are not recommended directly on a healing piercing.

Can I install it myself at home?▾

For a new or healing piercing, no — insertion and proper sterilization are done by the piercer. In a fully healed piercing, you can change the jewelry yourself, but with washed hands, gently, and tightening the threaded balls well so they don't come undone.

What do I do if I lose a ball?▾

The ball diameter for this model is 2.5 mm. For replacement, choose an end/ball of the same gauge (14 G) as the jewelry. If you're unsure of the measurement, take the jewelry to your piercer, who can check it with a caliper and match the correct end.

How do I know if it fits my desired location?▾

Compatibility depends on the gauge (here 14 G) and the dimensions of the piece (circumference 6.13 mm, balls 2.5 mm) relative to your anatomy and the piercing type. The most accurate answer comes from your piercer, who can compare these measurements with the intended location before ordering.
