Guide & full description

Complete guide: Proton Stencil Ink Tank CISS Printer Ink 127ml

This is a special ink for printing tattoo stencils, delivered in a 127 ml bottle, designed for the CISS tank systems of Epson EcoTank printers. It is a solution for artists who prepare their stencils digitally and need a constant ink flow, with clean lines from the first to the last print. According to the manufacturer, a single bottle allows for over 1500 prints, without clogging the system and without flow variations.

How to use

First, check that your printer is an Epson EcoTank model with refillable tanks — this ink is designed for this type of system.
Gently shake the bottle before use and open the printer's tank cap according to your device's instructions.
Slowly pour the ink into the dedicated tank without exceeding the maximum level marked on the tank, then close the cap tightly.
On first use, run the ink priming/charging procedure from the printer menu so the ink fully reaches the print head.
Do a test print on a regular sheet to check that the lines come out uniform and continuous.
Print the design on stencil paper compatible with inkjet printing, then apply the stencil to the skin with a transfer solution, as in your usual workflow.
Let the applied stencil dry completely before starting work, so the lines don't smudge at the first contact.
After use, close the bottle tightly and store it upright, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Tips from us

Do not mix this ink with other types or brands of ink in the same tank — mixtures can compromise flow and line quality.
If you don't print daily, periodically run a nozzle check from the printer menu — it's the simplest maintenance routine for any CISS system.
Pour the ink slowly and keep a paper towel handy — stencil ink stains are hard to remove from clothes and surfaces.
Keep an approximate record of the tank level and refill before it runs out completely to avoid air entering the system.
Print the stencil shortly before the session, not many days in advance — a fresh stencil transfers more cleanly.
Dedicate the printer exclusively to stencils: alternating between stencil ink and regular ink on the same device is not practical.

Warning: This is ink for printing stencils, NOT tattoo ink — never use it directly on or in the skin. The printed stencil is applied to cleaned and disinfected skin, and the paper used is single-use per client. Keep the bottle tightly closed, away from children, and avoid contact with eyes; in case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work on any printer or only on Epson EcoTank?▾

The product is designed for Epson EcoTank printers, which have a refillable tank system (CISS). If you have a different printer model, especially one with classic cartridges, we do not recommend pouring this ink into it — first check what type of system your device has.

How many stencils can I print with one 127 ml bottle?▾

According to the manufacturer, a single bottle allows for over 1500 prints, with consistent results throughout use. The exact number depends, of course, on the size and density of the designs you print.

Does stencil ink clog the print head?▾

This ink has been specially developed not to clog the system and to maintain a stable flow without variations. As with any tank printer, it is still good to periodically run a nozzle check and a cleaning from the device menu if the printer remains unused for longer periods.

Can I use this ink directly on the skin to draw the stencil manually?▾

No. It is printer ink, intended exclusively for printing stencils on paper. Only the design transferred from the stencil paper using a dedicated transfer solution reaches the skin. For direct drawing on the skin, there are specially designed products for this purpose.

How do I maintain the printer and how do I store the ink?▾

Keep the bottle tightly closed, upright, at room temperature, away from sunlight. On the printer, do a nozzle check before important sessions and a print head cleaning if you notice broken lines. Refill the tank before it runs out completely to prevent air from entering the system.

What paper should I use for stencils with this ink?▾

Use stencil/transfer paper compatible with inkjet printing — not all thermal paper works with inkjet printers, as some are designed only for thermal copiers. Check the paper description that it is suitable for inkjet printing and do a test before the first session on a client.
