Guide & full description

Complete guide: Battery Hummingbird Bronc Magic Pen Pink Purple

The Hummingbird Bronc Magic Pen Pink Purple battery is the dedicated rechargeable battery for the Bronc MAGIC wireless pen from Hummingbird — an essential accessory for artists who work without a cable, whether tattooing or micropigmentation/permanent makeup (the product is also listed in the Micropigmentation Devices category). It has lithium-ion cells, an LED level indicator and overcharge and overheating protection, designed to cover a full day of work without adding annoying weight to the machine. It is suitable for mobile artists or for studios where the power cord would be more of a hindrance than a help.

How to use

Before first use, charge the battery completely — charging takes about 1.5-2.5 hours, depending on how discharged it is at startup.
Attach it to the Bronc MAGIC Wireless pen body (according to the manufacturer, it is compatible exclusively with this model) and make sure it is properly connected before turning on the machine.
Turn on the pen and take a look at the LED indicator on the battery so you know from the start how much energy you have available for that session.
Work normally — the declared autonomy is 5-8 hours per full charge, enough for most workdays with consecutive appointments.
Throughout the day, check the LED periodically; when it signals a low level, stop in time to recharge or swap in a spare battery if you have back-to-back appointments.
At the end of the day, remove the battery from the pen and charge it for the next session instead of leaving it discharged overnight.

Tips from us

If you have busy days with many appointments in a row, a second spare battery saves you from charging breaks in the middle of the day.
Do not leave the battery fully discharged for long periods when not in use — for lithium-ion cells, a partial charge level maintained periodically is healthier.
Wipe the connection contacts occasionally with a dry cloth, without liquids, to maintain good electrical contact with the pen.
Keep the battery away from direct heat (radiator, prolonged sunlight, a hot car in summer) — overheating protection is an additional safety measure, not a reason to store it in a warm place.
Check the LED level before every longer session so you don't run out of power while working on a client.
Use the pen and charger recommended by Hummingbird for this model so that the battery works correctly with its protection circuit.

Warning: It is a battery with lithium-ion cells: do not expose it to mechanical shocks, moisture or extreme temperatures, do not puncture it, do not disassemble it and do not charge it unattended for very long periods. If you notice deformation, swelling, an unusual smell or overheating during charging or use, take it out of service immediately. Although the battery itself does not come into contact with the client's skin, avoid its contact with disinfectants or other liquids in the studio during the session.

Frequently asked questions

Does this battery work with any Hummingbird wireless pen, or only with a specific model?▾

According to the manufacturer's description, it is compatible exclusively with the Bronc MAGIC Wireless pen. It is not intended as a universal battery for other wireless pen models, even if they are also from Hummingbird — check the exact model of your pen before ordering.

How long does a full charge last?▾

The declared battery life is 5–8 hours per charge, which usually covers a working day with consecutive sessions. The actual time may vary depending on how intensively the machine is used.

How long does it take to fully charge it?▾

Between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on how drained the battery is when it is connected to the charger.

How do I take care of the battery so it lasts as long as possible?▾

Avoid repeated full discharges and prolonged storage at 0%, keep it away from heat and moisture, occasionally clean the metal contacts with a dry cloth, and use only the charger recommended for this model. These are general rules valid for any lithium-ion battery, and the Bronc Magic Pen also adds built-in overcharge/overheating protection.

Is it worth getting a spare battery or is one enough?▾

For a regular working day, a single fully charged battery usually covers the 5–8 hour autonomy range. However, if you have very busy days with back-to-back appointments and no breaks for recharging, a second swap battery saves you the waiting time at the charger.

Does the battery add noticeable weight to the tattoo machine?▾

The manufacturer describes it as compact and lightweight, designed not to significantly weigh down the pen in your hand — useful precisely for long sessions where grip comfort matters.
