This Conversion Kit no. 110 is the original Ink Machines part (made in Sweden) that transforms the Scorpion tattoo machine to work with standard (regular) cartridges, instead of the traditional needle + grip + tube setup. It is designed for artists who own a Scorpion X1 and want to switch to the modern cartridge system without buying a new machine. The conversion is reversible, so you can always go back to the classic assembly. In short: you upgrade the machine you already have.
What exactly does kit no. 110 contain?▾
The kit includes the Stay up spring (part no. 24, optional use depending on preference), the Give adapter (part no. 148), which adapts the drive mechanism, and the Grip adapter (part no. 146), which allows mounting cartridge grips. The Precision tool kit (part no. 90) is also required for installation and is sold separately. All components are original Inkmachines.
What cartridges can I use after conversion?▾
After installing the kit, Scorpion accepts standard (regular) cartridges from the tattoo industry — from most manufacturers such as Cheyenne, Peak, Kwadron, Vertix and other brands with standard format. Note: Neo Inkmachines cartridges require a different adaptation version, not this kit.

No. The Scorpion X2 comes with Conversion Kit no. 110 already included from the factory and is designed natively for cartridges. The kit is intended exclusively for Scorpion X1 owners who want to upgrade their machine for use with cartridges.

Yes. After installation you can return to the traditional needle + tube configuration by removing the adapters and reinstalling the original components. This flexibility allows you to switch between systems depending on preference or consumable availability.
How do I properly maintain and sanitize the machine and grips after conversion?▾
During work, use protective barriers (film on the machine, sleeve on the clip cord, grip cover) to avoid contamination. The cartridge is single-use and discarded after each client. Reusable grips and the machine body are disinfected between sessions according to your hygiene protocol. Switching to cartridges simplifies maintenance because you eliminate the manual assembly of needle + tube.
Can I do the conversion myself or do I need a technician?▾
You can do it yourself if you have basic mechanical skills and the tool set no. 90 — the Scorpion manual contains step-by-step instructions and exploded diagrams.
