The Releaser Spring (part no. 63) is the original return spring of the quick-release mechanism on Ink Machines rotary machines. It is a small but critical component: it automatically returns the release lever to the locked position after each actuation, so that the needle bar remains firmly secured during work. It is intended for tattoo artists who own an Ink Machines machine (including the Stingray line) and perform their own maintenance, as well as studios that want a spare part on hand.
How to use
- Turn off and disconnect the machine, remove the cartridge/needle, and clean the release mechanism area with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Work on a clean, well-lit surface, preferably on a tray, to avoid losing the spring or pin — they are very small parts.
- Disassemble the release mechanism: remove the releaser pin (part no. 64) that secures the release lever (part no. 62), then remove the lever and the old spring.
- Place the new releaser spring on the dedicated support in the mechanism, exactly in the position occupied by the removed spring.
- Position the release lever over the spring, aligning the pivot hole.
- Reinsert the releaser pin through the lever and support until it is secured.
- Test dry: press the lever — it should open against the spring force — then release it; it should return instantly and firmly to the locked position.
- Check the needle bar's secure locking with the lever closed before resuming work with the client.
