This is the original Ink Machines replacement part (tube vice assembly, nr. 76) that secures the working tube — the grip together with the needle — onto the body of the InkMachines Stingray pen-style rotary machine. It is intended for artists who already own a Stingray and need either to replace a worn-out grip assembly or to keep a spare in their kit. Being a mechanical component specific to this model, it is not interchangeable with the equivalent part for the Dragonfly (nr. 43).
What is the difference compared to the part for the Dragonfly?▾
The assembly for the Stingray is part nr. 76, and the one for the Dragonfly is part nr. 43. The two have different geometries, adapted to the shape of each machine, and are not interchangeable. If you have a Stingray, use exclusively part nr. 76 — the one for the Dragonfly does not fit correctly on the pen-style body of the Stingray.
Why choose the original Ink Machines part and not a generic one?▾
The Stingray machine is a precision instrument, and the grip assembly must fit exactly on its body. The original part respects the model's tolerances, so the tube remains firmly and centrally fixed. Copies with slightly different dimensions can leave play, incompletely secure the grip, or, if over-tightened, damage the contact surfaces.
How often should it be replaced?▾
It is a wear part, subject to repeated tightening-loosening cycles. It has no fixed term: check the tightness periodically and replace at the first signs of loosening (the grip moves even when tightened to the maximum, worn thread, deformed surface). As a guideline, under intensive professional use, it is worth checking every 6-12 months; the more often you change the grip configuration, the faster the wear.
How do I properly maintain and clean it?▾
Protect it with a disposable barrier at each session and disinfect exposed surfaces between clients. During deep cleaning, lightly lubricate the thread of the tightening mechanism with an oil dedicated to tattoo machines to avoid seizing. Keep in mind that the tube/grip that touches the client must be sterile or disposable — the grip assembly only secures it.
Does it work with any grip?▾
It accepts grips/tubes with standard diameters, compatible with the Stingray machine. Grips with atypical diameters may not be secured properly. If in doubt, check the compatibility specifications on tatuat.ro or in the Ink Machines manual before ordering.
How many spare parts should I order?▾
For most professional artists, 1-2 spare parts are sufficient. The assembly wears relatively slowly compared to the moving components of the mechanism, but a spare in your kit saves you from an interrupted session.
